Keeping your word

Remember in the westerns and old television shows, when a man's word was his bond?

I love old westerns (especially John Wayne movies).

I was terminated from my day job on November 18th.

That day I was told I would receive 2 severance payments and as of today, I have not received any communication that indicates my former employer is going to pay me at all.

I am frustrated, angry, hurt and completely bewildered that a small business owner in a small town would not keep his word.

I am applying for every job I hear about and praying that God will provide.

I realize people disappoint us and people are going to do what they want to do. I keep praying for this person to keep his word and be moved to do the right thing.

I don't want to get behind on my bills and I don't want to cause my husband any more stress than is already on his shoulders.

I applied for food stamps and hubby makes too much for us to qualify for that.

So I have uploaded more crocheted items into my ETSY shop for sale and hoping that I do well this weekend at the Vendor Event in White Bluff and sell lots of my candle/fragrance inventory.

I pray you are healthy and able to do for those you love this holiday season. Holidays are hard on many of us for many reasons. But not having an income at the holidays is one of the worst feelings in the world.
