Here we are in Tennessee with a rainy Monday.
Today is the extension tax deadline, so we are busy here at the office.
I finished my first 'paid order' crochet project today. It was so nice to give it to my boss's wife and see her face light up. She loved the crochet blanket!!
I went on an interview last Thursday and it was very nice to have my skills validated. Maybe that's why we as humans are always looking for something different. Some employees never hear a thank you or 'good job' their entire time at a job.
I try to do my best to say Thank you and really appreciate it when my supervisors tell me Thank You.
We have had steady rain here in the Dickson area since Saturday and other than going to my sister's baby shower, I did not leave the house at all this weekend. I have a couple of friends that live in flooded areas in Cheatham county and I hope they are able to get out and about soon.
We are not allowed to have pets in our home per the landlord. I am okay with this because I am not what you would call an animal lover. My daughter had pets when she was growing up and I tolerated them but I don't necessarily hate the animals either. I see photos and think certain ones are cute but at that point, my interest ends.
There are 2 white cats that roam our neighborhood. One has a collar with a bell and one has no collar. The one with the collar likes to sleep on my husbands car and has been known to follow us in the house.
My grandson Nikolai thinks this is great fun because he is used to animals at his house.
I however, do not want a cat in the house because of my yarn and crochet projects and do not want to deal with the poop, hairballs and other mess that comes with a 4 legged animal. So when this particular white cat follows me to the door. I sternly tell it No and Go Away and shut the door on it. I have not hurt it and I won't, but I have picked him/her up and tossed her out the back door a few times.
My husband likes animals and if we ever get a place of our own, I am sure we will end up with a dog at the very least. I am just not in an animal mood at this time in my life.
Stay dry, be careful and say thank you to others today!

Reach out and call a friend when you are down, tell someone how you are feeling, don't drown in those sad feelings!
