Time waits for no one.
Seems like everyone we know is waiting for vacation or waiting on that promotion to feel successful.
I have 2 friends that brought daughters into the world last week and I am sure for Jessica and Mindy, their world just got a lot bigger and sweeter all at the same time.
I hear a lot of people tell mothers of toddlers and small children "Don't Blink, because one day they will be grown". As a former single mom to 2 children, I was exhausted, constantly felt like I was not doing enough of the right things to raise my kids the 'right' way and always felt like a failure.
Bottom line is this - we as women need to encourage other women no matter what stage of life they are in.
I consider myself in the sandwich generation. My children are grown with families of their own and truly don't 'need' me. My husband and I just get up and go to work everyday and do our best to keep each other going through whatever life throws our way. I often call to check on mom or go visit just to catch up and often there is crochet and coffee involved on those Saturday mornings.
I get a lot of stuff wrong, I over-react and I complain a lot.
I also pray and do my best to count my blessings every day.
I cry an awful lot these days as life and pressures get to me and I get overwhelmed.
I challenge you to live in the moment you have today and don't rush through it. Take the selfie, play the game with your son, daughter or grandchild and if you get a chance, go play in the creek or play in the sprinkler.
Laughter is good medicine.
I pray you have enough and I pray you see your blessings.
Pray for me and I continue to pray for all that read my blog.
