My son and his family moved to Texas on October 4/5th.
The grandkids are already enrolled in school and I am sure they are enjoying their new place and all the new adventures ahead for them in a new place.
We have spent the past 8 days re-arranging furniture, getting rid of lots of clutter, hanging pictures on the walls and many other little things to make the house more organized. I even have a crochet/candle room now!
This is just one angle of the room with the shelves that Brian/Megan gave us to use after they moved.
Once my husband had a few days off in a row, we got busy with all the rooms and did lots of purging of stuff we didn't really need anymore and took stuff off to the dump and got groceries so we could cook at home this weekend as well.
Saturday was full of little chores for me as much as I could do until the coughing spells made me rest.
Sunday, I got up, made a pot of coffee and cleaned the cabinet doors and worked on the floors before going to church. We also put a roast and lots of veggies in the crock pot so we would have a yummy dinner in the afternoon after the scheduled inspection.
Hubby got the yard mowed and was going to start mopping the floors one last time and we heard from the landlord that she was sick and needed to reschedule the inspection.
We rescheduled that and took a rest knowing we had done everything and spent the rest of the day watching football, eating dinner and relaxing.
I miss Brian and our talks and I hope he and his family are doing well in Texas.
