Over the past few months we have merged all the files in this office into 2 filing cabinets.
Even through best efforts to keep everything alphabetical and to get all the investment files in one A-Z location for easy reference, we have misplaced a file or two (or it just happened to be buried on someone's desk, oops!)
No information was lost, just the way life goes in a small firm with lots going on.
It drove me bonkers thinking I had misplaced or misfiled a client's file. I really mentally beat myself up over this. We had a file earlier this week that we just could not find and something about it kept nagging at me. I knew it was here somewhere and I kept digging in the file drawers looking for this file and would eventually find it by looking for all the files with the first name to see if her last name had changed.
Let me tell you I was dancing in the file room when I found the file. Seems her accounts were updated but the file jacket was not updated with her married name. All is well and it has been fixed, but boy was I happy to have that file found and safe on my desk.
All of this got me to thinking....
God does not lose our file
God does not forget who we are
God does not refuse to take our call
God has even numbered the hairs on our head, we are precious to him!
There are parables in the New Testament about searching for a lost sheep or a lost coin and the concept is the same. God is always searching to save those who are lost and when we as sinners wake up and realize that a U-Turn is ALWAYS possible, we will be welcomed with open arms and not criticism.
That is unconditional love that only our Heavenly Father can bestow upon us.
I pray you dive into your Bible and study it to learn more about the parables I have mentioned.
I pray this blog blesses you and if you feel led, share it with others.
