Yesterday the coffee maker's clock would not stay on the right time. I did everything I could think of to set and reset the clock but nothing seemed to work. I went online and checked to make sure I was doing it right and the online manual said to start from a blinking 12:00. So I unplugged the coffee maker for a count of 100 and then plugged it back in and set the clock and it held!
Sometimes we just need to unplug and let our minds and bodies reset!
I took apart my C-PAP mask and thoroughly cleaned it yesterday. I did not realize this particular mask actually had 3 parts. I call that a learning curve! I left it out to air dry most of the day and then put it back together last night. However, when I went to bed, it was not working exactly right and I checked all the edges and one was not snapped together. Once it was put back together correctly, my mask did not make funny noises and operated correctly.
Are you put together correctly?
When someone hurts us deeply, it can take years to fix ourselves, let things go and completely get over it. I guarantee you will still have scars (I do) and people in your life today will accidentally rub against those scars and aggravate them (this is also called hitting your buttons or triggering).
Sometimes I have to apologize and explain what happened and why I reacted the way I did.
Sometimes I just know I don't like what happened and cannot put my finger on what is wrong.
Not everyone that hits your buttons is trying to hurt you! It is very important to not punish someone in your life today for past hurts/pain.
I am finding that true communication is a two way street and when the tough subjects are raised, the tv and phones have to be set aside so that there are no distractions.
I find myself wishing the weather was cooler so I could go to the local park and just enjoy some quiet time with a different view.
