Prayer & Gratitude

Here we are in mid-November already, are you ready for the holidays? I am not, but I look forward to them in hope.

Gratitude is a daily habit and something I have worked hard to focus on daily when everything around me seems to crumble and die. I remind myself daily that GOD is in control and HE is not surprised by anything that happens here on earth.

While I will not dwell on where I was 10 years ago this week, I do not forget it. I stay ever thankful that GOD got me through that time and opened my eyes to things that were going on so that I could move forward in my life. I only look back to say thank you to GOD that I am not there anymore.

There are many things going on around me that are completely out of my control. I get upset and I cry on my husband's shoulder and pray some more.

I have a friend in a homeless situation, 2 friends dealing with eye pain and loss of vision, my mother has fractured her hip and is hospitalized and we are not allowed to visit, I have a friend in a homeless situation, one friend just lost her husband and one set of parents are hoping to be reunited with their children soon, I pray for all of these situations and many more. My words are not eloquent or fancy, but they are true and earnest prayers to the Almighty God we serve.

I pray you stay grateful and that you find a way daily to be kind to others. We never truly know what another person is going through unless they decide to share it with us. Do your best to show love to those around you. Your kindness might be the only kindness that they receive that day.
