Filter & Focus

These days it is very hard to filter out all the noise we are bombarded with.

Everywhere we turn is negativity (news, politics, society in general) and I made a determined choice years ago when I chose to avoid watching the daily news reports. Even with avoiding television news, I still see/observe news reports through email and social media.

I continue to make a concentrated effort to avoid news reports to keep myself focused on things I need to focus on.

I have a morning routine and a night routine that involves listening to music while I get things done. I choose to listen to praise and worship music because it puts my mind and spirit in the right place.

I have started putting in job applications for working from home recently but no news yet. I remain hopeful and know that God will show the way.

I am very thankful for my customers and those who order from me.  I actually did something afraid in the past week and did a Facebook Live sharing all my crocheted items that were for sale. Then a day later, I got a call from a former co-worker and she wanted to purchase 4 blankets and a shawl.  I was so happy to sell some of my makes and share them with someone. I mailed her package of crochet goodies today and can't wait to hear from her once she receives them.

For those that are wondering, I am still going strong with PartyLite. Yes, the company made major changes in their pay structure and launched a new website in early August. So far, most of my customers that I have heard from have been able to get what they need and free shipping as well.

My PartyLite link is www.partylite.com/nevergiveup. If you have not been there recently, be sure and go check it out. Sign up for emails or register for a customer account. Both are free! There are no more shows, so ordering is online 24/7 whenever you decide you need candles or accessories.

On August 11th, I was having an online L'BRI party and heard from my friend Liz that they had a sign up offer for $1 and I initially said no thanks, but about 10:30 that night, I decided that for a $1, I had to check it out. So I joined L'BRI Pure & Natural. I am loving the skin care and the natural ingredients. Have you heard of L'BRI?  They are based in Wisconsin and all of their skin care products have Aloe Vera as the first ingredient. You can join my L'BRI group on facebook (just send me a facebook message and I will add you) or you can visit the website and see what you think. I look forward to sharing L'BRI with you and helping you find solutions for your skincare concerns.

www.L'BRI.com/mparish is my website for L'BRI. Feel free to register as a customer, take the skin care profile quiz, book a party or join the team.

Again, thank you for all the support. I will be glad when this election is over. We went on the first day of Early Voting here in Dickson, TN. It took about an hour of our time, but it was well worth it and they had social distancing enforced as well as everyone had on a mask or a face shield. #govote

I pray you are in a safe location.

If you ever need to talk, I am available. I will listen and I will pray with you.

Have a wonderful day!
