Nature Finds A Way

Nature Finds A Way

Back in May, my husband bought this beautiful hanging pot of flowers for me. Lots of color and it brightened up the porch here at home.

In June we had 10 days or so of record high temperatures and this poor potted plant shriveled up with no blooms and looked like it was completely done for.  I bought some potting soil and was going to replant it or something to revive it.  However, one morning, I decided to cut off all the dead branches hoping that would allow part of the flowers to survive and possibly bloom again.  I kept it watered and mostly in the shade for a while just to see what would happen.  I was certain I had killed the poor thing (seriously It looked like a pot of soil with sticks coming out of it, no green sign of life at all).

A few weeks would pass and we were all amazed to see a few tiny yellow blooms showing signs of life.

Today the yellow flowers are blooming and it is amazing to me how the flowers ended up thriving even after my poor attempt at pruning.

This is a lot like faith, If we don't water it and feed it and care for it, it shrivels up and dies.
Have a wonderful day friends!
