Progress Happens!

Progress, no matter how small is happening.

For the past 4 days, I have not worn any sort of eye patch or covering at all.

We had a quiet New Years Eve/Day at home just the way we wanted it. We put a roast in the crock pot and had that to eat on Sunday night.

David got really blessed and had 3 whole days off together for New Year's and his birthday. I am so happy for him. He really needed a break from work and the stress that goes with his job.

I worked yesterday and once I got home, we headed off to Nashville to get Sushi for his birthday dinner. I drove to Nashville at dark! Why is this a big deal? Because I haven't driven outside Dickson since my surgery.

It was a great time and we had lots of fun at Sonobana in Nashville having several sushi rolls, Hot Sake, Green tea and even deep fried cheesecake for dessert. Happy Birthday Hubby was the theme of the night.

We got back to Dickson by 7:30 last night and it was a quiet night with Television and getting ready to go back to work. We have had a severe cold snap and I am actually cold.

I wore long sleeves on purpose to work today and hope each of you take precautions to stay cold if you are having the same cold snap as we are in Middle Tennessee.

I go to the doctor on Monday the 8th to get my month check up from the eye surgery. I am looking forward to being released from the doctor's care. I am so thankful the doctor's caught the issues with my eye and were able to repair it.

I hope you all have a great first week of the new year and work on your goals for the year and get involved! Being involved or volunteering helps pass the time and gives back to the community.
