I saw a poem recently called The Dirty Shoe
It was about a gentleman with dusty shoes sitting on the back pew at a church. During services, his dusty shoes touched another person's shoes.
At the end, it turned out the man had to walk 30 minutes to get to church and that is why his clothes, appearance and shoes were dusty rather than shiny. He spoke to the person who sat next to him at the end of service and apologized for his appearance but he actually had the heart of a person following the Lord.
This makes me often think of how we judge others mentally within seconds of assessing their appearance.
This also makes me thankful that I no longer work at a place of business that tattled on other employees based on their shoes they wore. It was ludicrous and drove me batty at a former job where the biggest worry was not doing your job correctly, but whether you wore the right clothes and shoes because you didn't want a co-worker to rat you out to the manager.
So have a blessed day and be thankful if you can wear comfy shoes without be judged for it.
There is only one judge that I know of that really matters at the end of our lives and he is over us all.
Be kind to each other and Laugh Everyday
