From Lexington to Harriman

Last weekend was definitely all about a road trip.

Last Friday we were excited to attend Logan's high school graduation. Friends and family all gathered at Lexington Christian Academy to celebrate the graduates and their accomplishments. This private school is laying a groundwork in young people that will carry them far into their futures.

After celebrating Logan and visiting with Abby and other family members, we took our leave and headed home.  We then came home and packed a bag for a last minute road trip on Saturday/Sunday.

It was an adventure to be sure. We drove up to Harriman to visit Allen (David's best friend) and also stopped to see a Caney Fork Angler's stop along the way. I had a few coughing spells along the way, but it was  a great trip across the state and getting to visit with friends and family in different towns.

You know, life is pretty much the same no matter what your city and state happen to be. Everyone gets up and goes to work everyday, everyone has worries and fears and we all have loved ones we don't want to see hurting.

2 of my friends lost their mother's this past weekend and another friend suffered a miscarriage. Loss is forever with us. Some call it the circle of life, some call it destiny, but whatever you call it, people live and people die. The lesson? Love! Show love to those around you and make the most of the time you have here with them.

No matter where you are, show love. If you cannot love the person you must deal with, do your best to show kindness.
