Evening at Home

I hope you are all having a nice evening whatever you may be doing.

I didn't leave work until just after 6 pm tonight and some nights, that is just the way it is.

Last weekend was rough with visitations and funerals for friends who lost their lives to cancer.

It was very odd to have 3 people I knew personally pass away all in less than a week's time.

We have the memorial service for Anna on the 15th of September, so we will be in Memphis for the Parish extended family.

But in a few short days, I will be celebrating my 1 year anniversary with my beloved David.

Sometimes, I sit and watch the wedding video and tears still fall because I am so in love with this man of mine.

As I type this, he is on the other end of the couch snoring a bit here and there. I am so blessed to have someone who gets me, who listens and that is in this battle we call life right beside me no matter what we face.

I am working on a bunch of scarves this month. The first 5 will go to Utah and then the rest I make will end up at a shelter keeping women warm.

I want to tell you that suicide is never the answer. September is Suicide Awareness month and Origami Owl has a special locket this month for just $29 and $1 from each set we sell will be donated to Suicide Awareness and Prevention Programs both in the USA and Canada. See more about this at my website maryannw.origamiowl.com

As always, I want the best for you. I do not claim to know all the answers. I am just a survivor who lived to tell her story. If you are in a dangerous homelife, please get some help at the domestic violence hotline 1-800-799-7233.
