Last night as the election coverage started on the television we switched over to the Justice Channel and watched Forensic Files for the night. I was checking results on my phone and hoping that somehow the two Tennessee elections would go to Democrats. Both of the gentlemen I voted for were beaten by their opponent and I was sad for a bit of time.
I have to say this morning I am not near as shell-shocked as I was 2 years ago when Trump was elected. I made the mistake that day of thinking I could speak freely at a job and found out my views were opposite of the young lady training me and I ended up getting fired that weekend. Funny, looking back now, I will always suspect, it was the GM who thought I was not catching on fast enough or hated my constant coughing that made the decision to let me go.
I did get over it, I did move on and got another job soon enough. God carried us through that holiday season with just one income and I am thankful for that.
We have a few days of rain which equals flooding in low lying areas around Middle Tennessee. I hate driving in the rain especially at night because it makes it hard to see the lines on the highway.
I am a firm believer in standing up for what you believe and working for change as much as you can. That is why I tell my story of survival (over and over) hoping and knowing it will benefit others who see no way out. For years, I was stuck myself and saw no way out and finally woke up and decided that I was not going to put up with it anymore. I was scared, and I had no idea what would come of me or where I would end up for sure, and again God showed he was taking care of me and I can never forget that.
I am having a Pampered Chef online party and if you want the link to order, please ask. The consultant does things very differently than I do, but she is a family friend, so I let her do her thing. Just because people do things differently doesn't make them wrong.
I hope everyone has a great day and looks on the bright side of things.
I do believe that we are taught in the Bible to pray for the leaders of our country and even though I personally cannot stand the man in the White House and do not believe he is good for the USA, I do pray that those in power make good decisions for our entire country. Prayer is more powerful than any elected official.
