Unexpected gifts

I am so very blessed
Do you realize how blessed you are? Do you have your eyes open to see the blessings around you?

I was privileged to be a part of the Jennie's Christmas Mercantile a couple of weeks ago in White Bluff. I got to see friends and make new friends. I did not hide behind my table or even stay with it all day.

I got up and walked around, checked out the other vendors and had actual conversations about my Origami Owl business and my Party Lite Business and even talked about not being able to sleep and needing to get a c-pap machine for my sleep apnea.

Through these conversations, other friends made contacts and I was gifted with a box full of Origami Owl display items to make my future displays (and those of my team) even better. That is a huge blessing to someone in direct sales. It is such a great encouragement to have someone in your corner cheering you on who knows what kind of work and determination it takes to do event after event promoting your business.

Another blessing came from my talking openly about my sleep apnea to a complete stranger. Turns out she had a c-pap machine she wasn't using anymore and she gave it to me, we ordered mask and tubing and for the first time in 6 years I have a c-pap machine again to help me truly sleep and not snore, stop breathing and drive my husband batty at night.

So my word as we walk into the last week of 2018 is thankful.

2018 has had it's share of highs and lows but all in all I am thankful for everything and all the lessons learned and all the laughter.

In a couple of days we head to Memphis for Parish/Williams Christmas and I can't wait to hug my big sis Laura. Who knew getting married would give me a big sister ??

Be a blessing, give to others of your time and attention as well as financial blessings. Your presence is appreciated even if you don't have a present to bring.
