Then you hear sad news from a family member and you pray,
Then you hear of a friend fighting cancer who has had a set back, and you pray for her,
Then you have plans and you simply don't have the energy to do what you planned,
You feel like you slept the week away, you had words with your spouse and don't even remember what sparked the upset...
You can't sleep, you can't shut off your brain and your crochet project is almost done when the cake of yarn collapses into a tangled mess. It ends up taking over 45 minutes to unwind the yarn and while doing the hard task of untangling the yarn, you think over things that have been said and tears fall, so you pray some more...
Life is often a tangled mess just like that yarn you are trying to work with.
Some may say, just toss the yarn and use another color... Others will sit in the floor with you and calm you down and help you untangle the yarn so you can make something with it.
While I would prefer that my yarn not get tangled up, often there are lessons to be learned from having to untangle the yarn.
This is what I learned last week untangling my yarn. I realized I am that tangled mess and that my Lord still loved me all messed up. I also was reminded that no matter what Hubby and I love each other in the middle of this tangled up life right now and have to work together to untangle the days as they come.
I pray you have untangled days this week.
No matter what you are facing, I pray God grants you wisdom and courage to face the situation.
