Dishes, Coffee and Lunch

Dishes, Coffee and Lunch - that is my checklist before I lock up/shutdown the house and finally go to bed at night recently.

By definition the phrase means the following:
Dishes - dishes are washed
Coffee- Coffee is prepped for the morning so Hubby can just hit the start button
Lunch - I have made hubby's sandwiches/snacks for his lunch the next day

This is a pattern I have fallen into over the past few months. I cannot even tell you when it started actually. I only recall that I started staying up later crocheting and binge watching Star Trek DS9, followed by Star Trek Voyager. I began the routine of washing the dishes when hubby went to bed and did the other chores as the hours passed. Yes, you read that correctly, hours!  These days my head doesn't hit the pillow until 1 in the morning.

Once this Corona virus thing got a hold of the nation, I began to really enjoy my escape into the world of Star Trek to cope with reality.  It is no different than binge watching any other show.

I also start my morning (or whenever I get up) with hot coffee and listening to praise/worship music through Pandora.

I am very thankful for uplifting music and lessons that are readily available online during our time at home.  Some of our area churches have gotten very creative in offering lessons and continue to teach using youtube, facebook and other platforms.  My pastor has starting sharing lessons via youtube and I encourage you to listen and be encouraged and blessed. In this time of physical separation, most of us feel isolated but I want you all to know that every one of us is essential. God sees each of his children and wants the best for each of them during every day of their life.

The unconditional love of God is something most people cannot comprehend because they have never experienced unconditional love here on Earth.  I never truly believed it existed until I became a part of Covenant Church years ago.  Please know that God is not surprised by anything that happens here in our lives because he is in complete control of everything.

I hope each of you reading this is safe and healthy during this time (and always). If you are in danger please seek help 1-800-799-7233.
