Settling In

We are moved in and mostly settled into a new routine.

We are living with my parents for a while to help them get back on their feet.

I even cooked dinner 2-3 times this week. I made Mississippi Pot Roast one night using the crock pot and tonight we had spaghetti.

I went many years not liking to cook at all because it had become a chore that I did not enjoy. After years of being single, I married a man who loves to cook and between he and his sister, I am back in the kitchen trying new recipes from time to time.

Routines have changed but things are settling in. Mom now has a live in crochet helper even though I am no expert. Mom is happy making granny squares in all sorts of colors. I prefer using bright colors and using the corner to corner pattern and learning other patterns as time goes on.

We are thankful for what we have in the midst of the continuing pandemic. This week we were able to celebrate my daughter's birthday at a local restaurant.

I hope you are well and making the best of your circumstances.
