Cry Therapy

Sometimes we all need a good cry to get things out of our system.

The trick is having someone you can count on and trust to be there with you. If you cry on the wrong person's shoulder it just makes it all worse. Trust me on this!

Sometimes there are no words to explain what we are dealing with and crying happens without any prompting.

It helps if you have more than one person willing to listen when you need a friend.

Crying is not weakness, it is simply a sign of emotional or mental overload that just cannot be put into words.

I have told a few close friends over the past year that I just need out of the house or about how I sit outside in our backyard in the  night silence to reset my brain or my heart that is hurting.  I have also used the phrase, "scream at the trees" which for me is a type of therapy to get the angst out of my system and let off steam. No, I do not physically go outside and scream at an innocent tree, I usually get in my car and cry or cry in the shower.

No one knows what the person next to them is truly dealing with unless you ask, spend time with them and really get to know them as well as you know yourself. This means getting vulnerable and opening yourself up to other opinions/feelings that may not be exactly as your own.

Life is tough, but my God is strong enough to help me handle whatever is thrown my way. I plead with you to pray for each other and pray for me. I need wisdom and focus to handle all that is on my plate right now and I am sure you need the same. We are all feeling overloaded right now.

Sending you a hug as big as you need tonight. I pray you sleep in peace and safety tonight.
